Six mock exams in one book
The Exam Questions book in the bundle has six mock exams. Five of them have 60 questions and the last one has 49, so 349 in total, each with the answer and an explanation.
There's also the Practice Questions book, with 658 questions sorted by topic, for when you want to work on one area before you take a full exam.
How to sit one
- Set a timer for 90 minutes, as long as the real exam.
- Put your notes and the docs away, since you won't have them in the proctored exam.
- Mark every answer you guessed, even if it turns out to be right.
- Score it, then read the explanation for each answer you got wrong or guessed.
What to do with the score
Write down which exam topics your wrong answers came from. Reread those chapters in the study guide and do the matching sets in the Practice Questions book. The cheatsheets help with the configuration defaults.
Leave a few days between mock exams. If you do all six in one weekend, you'll mostly end up remembering the questions.
A question from mock exam 1
A producer sends to a topic with 3 partitions, RF=3, acks=1. For partition 0, only the leader is in-sync. For partitions 1 and 2, all replicas are in-sync. What is the result? a) All partitions fail. b) All partitions succeed. c) Only partition 0 fails. d) Partial success: only partitions 1 and 2 succeed.
The answer is b. With acks=1 each partition only needs its leader to acknowledge the write, so partition 0 succeeds with just the leader, and so do the others. With acks=all and min.insync.replicas=2, partition 0 would be the one to fail.
Try some first
You can try five of the questions, with explanations, on the exam questions page. The four-week plan shows where the mock exams fit into your preparation.
